Is Taylor Swift on the cusp of becoming a movie star?
The film Deadpool & Wolverine is slated to hit theaters on July 26th. This mashup movie starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman has been rumored to feature arguably the most recognizable pop star on the planet. The film poster fueled the proverbial fire even further when it showed both titular characters wearing friendship bracelets.
These bracelets have become an integral part of the Taylor Swift ‘viewing experience’ — where people of all ages can share and exchange these colorful bracelets at shows and pretty much anywhere.
Last year during a Jets game in New York, Swift was in a box watching Kansas City Chiefs boyfriend Travis Kelce. Standing next to her was Blake Lively and her husband, Mr. Deadpool himself. Theories speculated that Swift might play a female alter-ego of Deadpool — or perhaps a member of the X-Men alongside Wolverine.
Anxiously awaiting news on a potential Swift appearance in this universe, her fans will be disappointed to hear that she won’t be in this film. According to Entertainment Weekly, Swift has no part in the movie. Based on her overall talent as well as the popularity she brings to the table, it wouldn’t be shocking to see her involved in some sort of acting performance down the line — perhaps akin to what Lady Gaga is doing with the Joker sequel alongside Joaquin Phoenix.
